engine code p1700
I got this engine code and i check and it was for the manfacture transmision controle suposed to be for upshift time i was wanderin if there is any way to fix this issue.
The 2-3 shift is delayed on cold starts to keep the engine RPM higher; that warms up the catalytic converter faster.
There is a vacuum module on the right side of the transmission. The vacuum module is controlled by a solenoid valve in the double firewall cavity on the passenger side of the engine compartment. The control pressure cable from the throttle linkage to the transmission goes through the vacuum module. The module/cable assembly can be replaced. There is very little space to work, so the job can be a pain. The transmission oil pan should be removed to make disconnecting and reconnecting the module/cable easier. Trace and check the vacuum lines leading to the module to make sure everything is connected and that the rubber vacuum hoses are still OK.

ok thanks because for some reason my car isnt runnin right now i think it is the fuel pump but when i ran the caomputer on it i got the 1700 code as well as the EGR and MAF codes but i wouldnt figure either of them would cause it not to start either.
