Help? my w202 m104 wont start!!! Thx
So I have c280 w202 m104 and I installed a new engine wiring harness from ebay. I matched the harness with my VIN & Part # and it is the correct one. I have the new wiring harness installed that I payed $1,200 for and didnt come with instructions :/ but I follwed every wire and took out the old in with the new.
The starter kicks on and motor turn over but im either not getting fuel or spark or I have a messed up wire or connection/ fuse/ solenoid. Or worse case in scenerio the computer is fryed
- my gas tank is full and had both of my fuel pumps replaced a year ago.
- I put new spark plugs in and have replaced 2 ignition coils a while back.
-alternator is about a year old and battery is good.
***Before I started having problems a mechanic tryed to fix my harness and later down the road the wires burnt to the head. I was able to get it running again again but the same problem happended again and the wires fryed. So I tryed fixing it with electrical tape and was able to get it running on 5/4 cylinders so I decided on buy a new harness now here's where I stand***
Any Ideas? I pretty much screwed huh lol
Im going to check the connections again and go though my Mercedes Benz C Class Service manual.

let me buy a OBD II scanner and see what comes up? I also checked the fuse on my fuel pump relay and its still good.
All my plugs from my harness are connected and are where they are suppose to be

I don't know that it will be worth it to go invest in one of those. It may not help. I just hoped you had access to one. I would tell you to go to your local auto parts chain store to borrow their customer unit for free but since you can't start the car that isn't really an option.
