I'm upgrading from the stock 15" to a larger wheel, and I would like to use a mercedes wheel from either an E-class, S-class, or CLK. What stock wheels will fit my car ('97 C230)?

I drive this car 100 miles a day, so I really can't go any larger than 17".

I've heard rumors that lug bolts vary and bolt patterns vary. Mercedes said that S-class wheels won't fit; is this true?

sorry to say but the s class wheels will not fit. If you drive 100 miles a day, I would recommend you keep your current set up. 16-17" tires are pretty expensive.
