New on here....

Hi im from England, Im looking to buy a 1997 ish C230K and i have plans for it. Total rework but before you think oh no here is another bad modification man coming up. Its not really my style.

Current Mercs in the household.
W221 S320 CDI with a huge spec.
W168 A170 CDI (sister run around until she picks up her C220 CDI Evo coupe)

Previous cars:
W123 230te
w124 300td
w210 E320
w211 E320 CDI all being estates estates
w126 560 SEC
CLS500 (with the 5.5 V8 388bhp)
G300
And loads of others we've had 25/30 mercs in the past 30 years along with a few other marques here and there but nothing can beat a Merc

Now thats my dads motors that i too am insured to drive but not mine

I have had many new minis but now
My current one having coilovers, BBS RS split rims, etc dont want to bore you with that. Im selling it to make a Mercedes Poject. Aiming to build the perfect euro style Mercedes W202

So i intend to buy a C230K...

Plans... Coilovers
BBS LM rims or if i can find something to suit it a tad better i will but i want wider wheels with stretched tyres and a polished lip but i dont want it to look pikey.
C43 AMG bodykit
Up dated high gloss front grill
Full respray in (not sure what colour)
What im trying to go for is a subtle body but good stance and wheels (euro style)

Hope you lot like my plans, if not make some suggestions and it might help point me in a better direction.

Welcome, I like your taste. I am also thinking of doing the stretch tire look with my C. BBS Lm will cost more than the car is worth so that is out for me but would love them if I can find them for cheap. I am going with 18" AMG 8.5 fronts with 215 width tire and 9.5 with 235 tread for the rears it's a mild stretch only but good for me. Good luck post pics on your stages.

P.S. Those BBS RS are to die for.

sounds good, to be honest i dont like a huge stretch on my tyres just a subtle stretch. Id like abit of inspiration and this seems the only site i can find decent advice on actually modding Mercedes. All the others are more for keeping them stock :S Is there any other threads on here where people have gone euro or modified their W202

Nice good luck on your find and all for ya on the conversion/upgrade it's going to be fun. I'm like 3/5 way there to the AMG Kit (missing the LT and RT rocker moldings, but have the front, rear and Dual AMG C43 Exhaust). I feel like giving my C230 a new paint job OEM Style like I want to paint it either 777 Silver Arrow or 755 Steel Gray or 356 Blue, but to do that im looking at bayme couple years down the road, in the mean time for me is getting the AMG kit

in my opinion, i think some Carlsson 2/6s look real good on w202s they match the classy body style.

Those rims seem a little too pricey for an W202, there are plenty of BBS knock offs though.
