I've learned since I dropped it that I need to get the "toe" adjusted about every 3000 miles. I roasted a set of Contisports and a set of Flaken462's to find that out the hard way.

Happy New Year everybody!!!

well, when I first bought the car I dropped it before any other repairs to the suspension. I needed control arm bushings before I dropped it and I didn't align the car at all during this time so the first set of tires burned up quick. then after the bushings updated and alignment, I again rode a long time without doing an adjustment, burned the next set. NOW I know better and realize I need to go see the alignment guy more often to enjoy the drop on my car.

So you drove wihout aligning it in the 1st place after installation? ya, that'll do it.

There's no reason your car should go out of alignment every 3K. If the settings are changing then something is broken.

Does your car have non-staggered tires (all the same sizes all 4 corners)?

Rotate the tires instead.

I aligned it the first time but I didn't re-adjust it. and I only go for the alignment "toe" adjust every 3,000 just to check. if it's way out, then I get them to adjust it while alignment is under warranty.

I have staggered wheels and tires.

C230
I just got a 98 C230 normal suspension and i put Eibach Springs with Billstein Shocks(Yellow) and Lower Control Arm Bushings(both arms) and im no expert but my buddy who owns his own MBZ shop told me to drive it around like that for a while. He says everything is stiff right now(new shocks, springs, and bushings) so to let it set itself THEN go align it. In the meantime just to watch my tires and not drive like a jack ***. Made sense, will be aligning in a month or so...
