Window defrost

I bought a used W202 with out a car manual. Anyway the heater in the winter when on auto will not keep the windows from fogging up. In the defrost setting it won't let me have any other setting other than HI, so you bake in the car to keep the windows clear. Anyone have any helpful tips or a solution to this problem?

I have similar issue with my 1999 C230 Kompressor model for years. Some reason I am putting up with it but it is getting annoying specially in Winter. Even with high defrost it will not clear up windows for quite long time. Only way to clear up Windshied Defrost is starting A/C in Winter which defeats the purpose of Defrost by cooling car when outside temp. is minus degrees.

Also, My foot heater vents does not seems to give me any heat there which freezes my leg when car temp. is 80 Degree everywhere else

Anyone knows how can I fix this issue ? Any help is greatly appreciated
