I have also been thinking of bmw 328 and mazda6 2,3 sport , so wich car do you think i should buy?
Does anyone have a c280 here that could tell me how the car is?
It's your first car, your parents are going to pay for, that means if the car brakes down they will pay for the repaires, get a more reliable car.

i cant compare the other choices but if you are to go with a C280. get a 2000 with as many as options possible.

only 2000 gets the touch -shift tranny.

euro options were

xenon headlights with washer/wipers

rain sensing windshield wiper

heated seats

lumbar support

parktronik

folding mirrors

power rear sunshade

6 disc cd changer

cell-phone

i would at least try to find one with xenons and heated seats. 6 disc changer is a must too since the original head unit only has cassette player.

there is also a sport edition which has different style wheels, stiffer suspension.

i personaly like the none-sport edition due to w140 S500 looking wheels and steering wheel and more comfortable ride.

w202 C280 is not fast comparing to most 08+ cars in the US market. it was fast for its time 10 years ago. even 2008 4 cylinder accord is as fast if not faster. but in europe its a different story where there are lots of small engine cars. 1.2L to 1.6L renaults, peugeots, C180, C200 kompressors 316, 318, etc...

C280 will burn a lot of gas too its much like 11-12L per 100km in city and 9L highway

2008 C280 Sport
I just came back from getting a 2008 C280 Sport. I must say it is beautiful... When I test drove it it felt smooth, as i was chatting with the sales man of the dealership I didnt got the chance to push it to see performance stuff... like acceleration. Now I am reading everywhere much smaller BMW's are faster than my "new" car, I don't understand why with a V6 235hp it feels so heavy... what do you think?

Some questions for the experts:
1. The 2008 C280 = w204?
2. The engine is a 2.8 or 3.0 litter, I have read in some places that it is 2.8 in others 3.0, which one is right?
3. Is there a performance chip or repro that could get the best out of my engine??
