Are there aftermarket Projector HIDs for w202??

if there's is for R1's and for WRX's
why in the hell isn't there for W202?????

why i'm asking this because I don't like the look of HID in a full housing, just like Acura's i hate their look
but when you see projector hids, like BMW, Audi S4's etc
now those look 100% better

so any ideas?

That's an easy answer.

The total production run of the W202 worldwide (from 1993-2000) produced a quantity of cars that is fewer than the number of cars produced of the US-model Honda Accord in one calendar year.

Those kinds of numbers combined with the number of people who are likely to purchase such an upgrade does not set the scene for a successful product.

ya it does make sense if you put it that way scorchie

BUT

don't you think they'd look better?

i wonder if retrofitting one from other cars inside our housing would work

Whether it looks better or not is subjective; actually, I do not think it would match the style of the W202.

Of course you can retrofit it from some other car into your housing. Just about anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.

Philips makes several conversion kits:

And Katz and others make them, too.

Try a search on "xenon hid conversion" at www.yahoo.com .

Not sure what you're disagreeing on... whether they look good, or whether they exist?

I actually mocked together a set using parts from a W203... I didn't care for the look.

Just the look. I think it makes the car look newer.

Why do we need a picture of the R129 SL headlight? The projector sits in at a different angle than the W202.

Actually I just looked again. I'm wrong. Look at the shape of the turn signal. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Scorchie knows way too much about this stuff. Too bad he wasn't there when I spent all that money trying to get my windsheild wiper to work
