Upper Control Arm HELP

I need to get to the nut under the fuse box on the passenger side engine compartment to remove the bolt and nut holding the control arm. I removed the 2 8mm bolt inside the box and the one on the outside. Is the box a grab and pull or am I missing something?

I actually remove the ECU and associated goodies to get to that nut. Then I remove the screws which hold the upper portion of the ECU box to the lower portion of the ECU box. You need to disconnect the battery, and wait 15 minutes. Be very careful with the connectors and associated wires. The black relay box just lifts out. The ECU is held in with one screw, then just lifts out.

The bottom portion of the ECU box stays in the car.

I can remove everything in about ten minutes now.

I can post some pics next week when I am back.

Got it! Thanks..Spent more time doing that than changing the control arm. Now to the other side.

Just did this a few months ago, baffled me as to how hard it was to get to that nut! Just for someones future reference, you don't have to disect the fusebox or ECU to get that nut on or off. If your careful you can remove the nut with some really long needle-nosers. I may be mistaken but I believe I used a wobble extension to loosen that nut then just held onto it with the long needle-nose pliers and ratcheted the bolt till the nut came off. Re-assembly was precarious as you have to hold the nut just right to start the thread but if you have the patience this can save you some time in the long run. New upper control arms for the win!
