Trouble gearing from 4th to 5th c230
Hello!
I own a 1999 C230 Kompressor, Automatic Transmission and most of the time, using the Standard Mode on the gearshift panel, it has trouble up-shifting from 4th to 5th... It just keeps revving up. However if I use Winter Mode, have no trouble from 4th to 5th. I just don't feel comfortable using the Winter Mode all the time since the car feels a bit heavier... I live in the San Diego area so we don't have snow or any weather that would require Winter Mode. I just use it since the Standard Mode is having that problem. Any ideas?

well first of all, i tried checking the transmission fluid but, big surprise! I can't... unlike any other car, it doesn't have a dipstick to check the transmission fluid... but then I realized the problems started when I used my spare tire on the front passenger side (since the former tire blew out on me and I had the spare for about a week since I had a bit of trouble buying a set of tires) so I got new tires and the problems went away... No ASR/BAS light, NO gearing problems... I feel kinda stupid.. but oh well, one can learn in many different ways...
