Believe it or not, there is a special MB tool that is designed to go into the slots and unlatch the radio. The dealer techs have the tool and most dealers will send a tech or service adviser out to unlatch the radio for you at no charge. Takes less than 30 seconds to pull the radio!

The dealer will not sell you the tool and I am not aware of an aftermarket tool. This is to prevent the easy theft of radios by the unscrupulous. Hope this helps.

I bought the radio keys on a popular auction site for about $3. They work great.
