Location of Alternator and Voltage Regulator in 1999 C230
Hi,
Looks like my Voltage Regulator went bad and Battery Light with red color came on. I replaced brand new battery and still it is on. I have tested battery with voltmeter and volt does not increase above 12V by starting the car or putting gas. What I can gather is I may need Voltage Regulator or Alternator replaced. I checked all the contacts of battery and it looks fine.
I want to check it out with alternator and see if i can change the regulator if someone can provide me exact location of alternator/regulator and how can I replace it. I want to try replacing regulator first.
Thanks in Advance

Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. My Alternator took a crap and i replaced it with a rebuilt Bosch OEM one. Light went away for me. I would do it since it cost me $187+60 Core Charge

Nah I had my buddy do it since he's Star Certified. He used a lift to do it, I did not see do it but I'd rather not take any chances with it since I already knew it was the alternator since i had to tow it from ny house to my job cause it would not run because of low voltage. But yeah I had him replace the v-belt and the supercharger belt as well with a few pulleys. Luke u said I rather not take chances.
