CD Changer - 1998

Hey,

Its 1998 C230 Model.

Might a repetetive question, though its fresh from my end.

Is this model is compatible to use any other third party CD changers(with the adopter) or just only MBenZ stuff ?

i know alpine works, i dont know if it is plug/play or adaptor nec. but i bought the cd player off ebay for 279.00 with no tax and no shipping and it works great.

perfect.

You can use an Alpine CHM-S620 with an adapter (Peripheral is the brand, $80).

Or you can buy a USA Spec (they have them occasionally at Fry's, I saw one at the Palo Alto one the other day).

In both cases above, you still need a bracket. You can make one, or you can buy a Mercedes bracket for $20-$50 (depending where you get it).

Finally, you can get a genuine Mercedes changer. This will be very expensive at the dealer. A used one is much less, you can find it off eBay. I also have one or two available and could install it for you. The advantage (not grill) to the Mercedes changer is that it works perfectly with the head unit, doesn't require extra wires, and comes with a bracket.

Is there a 12 disc apline changer that works with this adaptor(which I already own )? I'm tired of just six discs. I run through them before the end of every trip.

i have a stock MB 6cd changer from my car, i dun use it anymore cuz i have a single cd deck now....

MB Quarts is not factory. They are one of the highest grade speakers you can get. it makes your car bump very clean.
