Little Help Please...

Does anybody know where I can get raised chrome block letters (like on the decklid) that say "Mercedes Benz". As far as I know, none of Mercedes cars have it on them, and I've tried sign shops but they don't make them. Does anybody know where I can get them or if anybody makes things like that or a store that I can buy the individual chrome block letters? Thanks.

Yes. Rather than have the "C280" badge on the decklid, I want to put the word "Mercedes" on the left side of the decklid, and "Benz" on the right side.

i think there is enuff brand recognition from the chromed out tri-star in the center trunk lid. wouldnt you agree?

no mercedes car has chrome lettering like you speak of. your best bet is to look at a decal shop that specializes in badges, stickers, etc, maybe they have chrome lettering badges.

Yes, I would also agree that your car looks just like everybody else's. Remember, that's why I got the red Benz and not the silver one like a million people have, and that's why I changed the rims to sweet looking ones, not the same ones that a million other people have. I don't run with the pack, I lead it.

it jst wouldnt look right
mercedes benz is usually in 1 word like "mercedes-benz"
splitting it by having 'mercedes' on the left and 'benz' on the right ...is a bit odd :o

there was an SL of some guy who did that on an older car... it was on beaterz.com

and its prolly a figure of speech, but when you say "I don't run with the pack, I lead it."
how are you leading mercedes c-class trends when you just got the car a month ago ?

ok correction that guy in the SL who did that didnt have the lettering mercedes-benz on the rear, but he did go a little far with the name recognition...

note how SL500 is badged twice.

and SL5 on the front bumper

and the chrome-tri star emblem is badged on the sides

I just meant that I prefer to make subtle changes (depending on the vehicle, sometimes not so subtle-LOL) to my cars to make them a little different. I understand that you like vehicles to be mainly stock, that's fine. I just like to make my own interpretation of an already great idea. I'm like B.A.S.F.. I don't invent things, I just try and make them a little better. Oh well, to each his own. Have a good one.

the shape of a mercedes vehicle (old and new) and the classic tri-star emblem is usually enuff for a passerby to have instant recognition that the car is a benz.

i like oem cuz its generally better quality and authentic to an extent

www.silentrage.net is a company in canada that deals with vinyl lettering, badging, and they might have chrome letters that your looking for

I drive what I drive
i think it would look a lot nicer with just the badge on the drivers side of the car.... the same spot where mustangs have the "5.0" symbol
