anti theft issue ?

anti theft issue ?
ok so i traded my 325i for this 96 c280 and am catching hell for the decision now . the car ran and drove fine for the past day or so - but the car had a bad headliner so i decided to remove it for re-upholstery this morning . the car ran and i backed it up into my driveway - i preced to remove the headline via a write-up i saw on this site. i went on to change the air filter (did not touch maf) and i detailed the inside of the car - also i replaced all the missing fuses from the fuse box - well the one i found in the trunk may be the problem. there was no fuse in the anti- theft slot - so i placed one in there. after i replaced all the removed peices i went to start the car and it crannked but thats it- it dies right out - i double triple checked air intake system and its all together - i reomved battery allowed to reset and nothing - i hooked up my scanner and it reads no codes- i removed the fuse from the slot and still nothing - i tried the lock unlock from driver door and from trunk and only the drivers door will lock unlock the other locks stay up all the time - btw i have one key for this car and its holding on for dear life. this is my daily driver and i need it by teusday - please help me- im regretting this trade - but stay hopeful i can fix it .any suggestions?

also it sounds like a really quiet alarm or some kind of pulsing noise coming from under the hood ? and whats are all those little airlines on the passenger side some ofthem are dry rotted and not connected ? apparently they havent been for a while what are those too ?

so non of the other doors unlock when i put the key in the driver door accept the driver door - no lights on mirror flashing or blinking either ... please help.

ive given up on figureing it out apparently looking this up on the internet finds no solutions. refuse to pay to have it fixed will junk car before i let it be repaired .

I was talking to a very knowledgeable person in FL who specializes in headliner repair. I was looking to order material from them. They said to be very careful when removing the headliner, and around the rear dome light. If the wires touch, then the car won't start. He did not go into specifics, but that could be something for you to start with.
