'96 C280 stalls at start-up
About 5 mos. ago I had a '96 engine (45k miles) installed in my 1994 C280 (265k and running). The new engine runs beautifully except shortly after starting, it would stall. Just before stalling, the dashboard lights flicker for about 5 seconds and stalls if the engine is just idling. I manage to work thru this problem by throttling the RPM's above 1500 for about 5 seconds and the problem disappears...until the next start up. When I start the engine from a cold start, the flickering lights and subsequent stall won't happen till about 2 mins. have past. During the course of a day when the engine is warm the lights and stall routine occurs after about 15-20 seconds pass.
Would like to fix this problem before turning over the keys to my twin daughters to use this summer. Appreciate any and all ideas!

Sorry i cant help much mines does the same thing but my guess is clean da throttle bottle and M.A.F sensor n cud u plz let me kno if it works for you ive research alot n jus dont have the time lately. I asked da forum but no one replied
