No sound from the speaker after the rain

I have a 1999 C280. Today it rained pretty hard while I was trying to get into my car. A little rain water might have gotten into the driver's side.

After driving a while, the speakers gave out several very loud popping noise then no more sound came out of the speakers. The radio head seams to work fine. just no sound from the speakers.

Has this happened to anyone? Is there a easy fix for this?

wait for it to dry it should work. mine did the same thing when they tinted my windows and sprayed so much water. but it works perfectly.

Update

I turned off the radio and left it alone for the weekend to dry out.

The radio/speakers are working just fine now.

I thought I would have to pay a large sum of money for the dealer to diagnose and fix the problem.
