Question on SRS
I have a 98 c280 4dr
Hello, just recently I removed my steering and air bag following the steps provided on here.
After the reinstall my SRS is now on constatly and will not go off.
When I removed the steering and the air bag I left the key in the ingnition and turned on. Would this create a need to reset the airbag, did I damage or blow a fuse in the system?

If you left the key in and turned on, that's most likely the reason.
If you unplug the bag with the key turned on, its going to see it as an SRS fault and will set a code that needs to be cleared.

O REALLY!!! I wish the instructions indicated THAT. WOW. Is there a way to reset this with out a dealer involved? Any suggestions would be helpful. I'm in REALLY BAD need to have this light out. Need inspection sticker.
