I have the same detector, I am going to hardwire it through the upper light console. My buddy installs at the Good Guys, and I'll take pics, but it probably won't happen for a week or two.

Hey,
If you can post up that info after u get it done, that would be great! I ordered the hardwire cord from Escort yesterday, so probably be at my house in about a week anyhow. Looking forward to hardwiring it with your help.
