need help what scan says codes 21 and 48

need help what scan says codes 21 and 48
Guys, so yesterday I scanned my car, which is M111 engine with PMS. The scan codes says error in 21 (idle speed control in limp mode) and 48 (PMS circuit/trimming plug open circuit or short to positive).

however my car runs smoothly and there were no fluctuating idle at any rpm's

what is the meaning of limp mode?
what is PMS circuit/trimming plug?
are these codes relates one another?
how to get rid of the codes?


any enlightment is very much appreciated,
