Gear Won't Shift Out of Park
My mom owns a 2000 MB C280 with only 60,000 miles on it. She has always had the vehicle serviced every time it needs to be and she bought the car brand new. During the cold winter months, she has to warm up the vehicle for a couple of minutes (2 min.) for it to shift out of P (Park); which we thought might be normal. But now it takes more than 15 minutes for it to shift out of P. I don't know what seems to be the problem here.

Forgot to Mention that Certain Lights Turn On
I forgot to mention this in the original post... This has never happened before in the past and now when she starts the car and tries to shift it, the ESP triangle light comes on, Brake light, and ESP/BAS.

Put a new battery. ESP / BAS light comes on when voltage is low.

All these lights illuminate w/ this issue.
