How much was the pioneer deck at circuit city? Did you have to buy an adapter to make it fit?
By the way, I will dump someone the crappy tape holder if they still want it.
Any tips on good mechanics/shops in the LA area for my c280?
Thanks
Tim

'94 C280 Bose system for sale: receiver / cassette trays / amp
Hey fellas,
If anyone is interested, I have some original / stock items from my C290 to sell. I installed a new cd plarer, and these are the casulaties: we have a Bose tape deck / receiver, a cassette
holder / slot tray, and the amp that was in the trunk. See attched pics for details.
The amp had to go because it was giving my new cd player feedback, and it was that or I would have had to attached something to each speaker. It was easier to just cut this out, consider my new cd player has a built-in amp. So there you go.
Anyone interested just email me with an offer. I would prefer to sell all as a package, but would piecemeal stuff out. thanks....

"I unscrewed to two screw where the built in car phone is or for you all the tape holder. I tried to pry the built in car phone thing out but it wouldn't really move. What do I do with that?
Is there an installation manual or disassembly forum for the radio removal?"
There's a little notch dead center of the tape/cell thing. You need to get a thin ruler or peice of metal and stick it in there with some pressure on it and then pull. I learned the hard way when I replaced mine two weeks ago.
