Bosch ECU 1996 c230 kompressor
The problem is Temperature gauge on the cluster does not work all other gauges work just fine.
I changed the coolant Temperature sensor and it didn't help, changed the cluster did not help. So i put back the old Temperature sensor and the old cluster, brought an ECU from a friend and turned the key to the on position and heated up the temperature sensor with a lighter and the temperature gauge worked just fine. Which tells me it is the Temperature cluster circuit inside the ECU that is bad. I opened up the ECU looking for physical damage on any of the electronic components and could not find anything wrong.
I have plenty of Electronics experience and equipment between here and work to do 95% of the electronics work on most ECU and other electrical circuit boards.
My question can someone tell when which compenets are bad on the ECU circuit board i can order and replace. OR supply me with a schematic to the ECU board. Dealership wants $2400 for a new ECU!
I will post results for all to benefit when i am done, because i am very confident i can nail this with schematics.
