Hello all,
I have a 1999 c230k and I've noticed a couple of things that spark my interest that I would like your help with.
First, whenever I turn on the AC the Aux Fans take about 15 to 20 seconds to start spinning, I have confirmed that the compressor does start spinning the second I turn the AC on but the fans have some sort of delay. Is this normal?
Second, If and when the AC is at full speed the aux fans never seem to kick into high speed. We previously had a 1999 c230 as well that was written off before this one and the fans would go into the high speed when we would do this.
I have tried the second concern at 90F degree weather and above. The car has never overheated and the temperature seems stable, but it sparks concern when it was greatly noticeable on the previous car.
The AC cools well and I have had the R-134 recharged as maintenance.
