how to turn off wrench maintenance led

Does anyone know how to turn off the wrench lcd that displays when you turn on the engine? It goes away after engine is on. I do all the maintenance things myself so that maintenance wrench indicator is pointless and annoying.

Shoot dash with a .45! And you might want to too! In your owners manual it tells you how but it's maddening. On our 1998 C280 sometime it works sometimes it doesn't - yes really!

Check your manual. I believe complete instructions are in there.
