Best tire size for 17x8 wheels on W202?
Whats the best tire size for 17x8 wheels on a W202?
I want as wide as I can get without causing problems. I do plan on lowering the car approx 1.5" to 1.75" in the future.

Looks like 225/45/17 is the best match as far as speedometer is concerned. Can the '97 W202 and the 17x8 wheels take the 245's? What are the drawbacks of going w/ 245's?
Its between 225/45/17 and 245/40/17 I think. I went w/ 17x8 wheels rather than 18's because I live where there are crappy roads so going witht the 235/40 would not work for me because there is not enough section height on the tire. I need the extra rubber.
