Broken drain screw.
I was cleaning out both the driver and passenger cowl drains underneath the car today. One of the screws snapped when I was tightening it back on. There are (2) 10mm bolts, one on the outer part of the car and one further underneath, I snapped the one underneath. It seems very well supported by the outer one, is this anything to worry about?
What lead me to clean the cowls was a water swooshing sound on acceleration after a rainstorm last night. I thoroughly inspected the car, there was a small water patch under the passenger side carpet but nothing like when it leaked through the glove box a few weeks back. I was surprised because I cleaned the tank under the hood on the passenger side after this other incident. The two cowls I cleaned today were pretty packed up especially the one on the passenger side. Could anyone advise if this was most likely the sound I was hearing? Are there any other drains to clean out? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Sometimes it's in the door. Rain can get down between the exterior rubber window seal that runs along the outside bottom of the window.
Open and shake the door as if you are opening and closing it a few times fairly fast.
If you hear water sloshing around, you can drain it from the bottom of the door.

Open and shake the door as if you are opening and closing it a few times fairly fast.
If you hear water sloshing around, you can drain it from the bottom of the door.
