Looisng Lights On Dash, HELP!!!!!
Hi ya, my friend has a W202 and is getting problems with the lights on the dash, they turn themselfs off for a few days and then come back on, its really wierd its like a loose cable.
Has anyone else had this before, any suggestions

If your talking about the cluster, those bulbs go every so often, and if you go to the dealer to change, they'll rape you. I had to learn that the hard way, $400 for the temperature light bulb to be replaced
If your talking about the console, it may be a loose connection somewhere, but also could mean the bulb is also at it's end of it's life. You have to pull the console apart to get to those bulbs, which isn't that hard from what i've read.

From what I've hear, if you're going to replace a bulb, it's smarter to do them all at the same time. I don't think it's a wire, we had this discussion at club202 recently and the concesus was that replacing the bulbs will fix the problem.

Thanks for your replies everyone, I like the idear of just waking it one.
It's really wird I borrowed his car this weekend, when I took it off him the lights were off except the lcd display.
All the light were off even the auto gearbox lights its so wierd then on sunday night they came back on but then this morning they were off again.
Wierd or what you really htink I should just change the bulbs.
