1995 c220
MAF problem
Hi guys - new to the form but have enjoyed all the great info. I have a 1995 c220 98000 miles that was running great after i cleaned the MAF sensor. Enjoying the ride down the road the other day and smoke coming out of the hood. The cord from the MAF sensor did a major short-out and needs to be replaced. Has anyone had this happen? How bad is the fix and are there any diagrams or information on how to?

Yes...it is a bloody hell problem.....i had replaced three MAF already.....It is a very common problems in W202....IMPORTANT : dont clean it
