My favorite part of the w202 interior
Was the ashtray location and design. Very convenient for a smoker. Unfortunately that's the main reason my C280 wasn't worth much when I sold it... smoked in!
I also liked the lack of cup holders. No need to have a beverage while driving. :P.
What I didn't like was the location of the window controls and trunk release. I don't need a passenger having access to all of that lol.
Just feeling nostalgic for my 96 C280.
Oh and the cassette holders on my 95 were a trip. Very much a relic of the 80's and 90's. Everybody laughed at the CD changer in the trunk too. I do miss the sound quality on my 96 with the Bose. I have an 02 with the Bose and it just can't match, especially the bass. I get alot of rattle in my 02, put its a more dynamic sound especially with the "driver" sound setting selected. But it doesn't hold a candle to my 96. My mom's 01 ML320 beats em all it seems. Those are some surprisingly nice speakers for the age and trim of the car.
