Rear Dome Light Problem

Hi Guys,

I was replacing my rear dome light bulb on my 95' C-Class and got the light out which was a pain in itself and then when I opened the metal clasp to remove the bulb a piece of plastic broke off inside. I put a new bulb in and when I place it back into the slot the light does not work, but if I slide one side out when one of the prongs hits the metal it works. It seems as thought this light is a ground for the front dome lights too because they flicker on and off. I am looking at replacements but mine has 4 prongs sticking out of it and the others have 2, so I am really stumped. Please help I need interior lights and advise if there is a temporary fix.

I believe its not touching a part of metal or something along those lines. Can anyone offer up some insight please??

Thank you!
