V8 and V6 MAS are different part numbers. So they are intended for different applications. Physically, I believe they are the same size so it will fit. But that doesn't mean it will or will not work properly.

AMG C43, 1999
The C43 MAS is about 8mm larger in diameter and I had one on my 1999 C280, V6. But I had to move it to the other side of the flex hose closer to the manifold.
If installed in the stock location it seemed that the air flow was turbulent and caused the MAS sensor to act funny. But moving to the far side of the flex intake air tubing fixed that.
