I have a general question about the Head Gasket on my '95 C-Class, I was looking through the records recently and noticed the original owner complained about an oil leak and the Head Gasket was replaced at 48,900 miles in 2001. I owned the car since 100k it now has 134k w/ no issues other than the engine harness replacement. My question is whether or not it will require this job again sometime down the road? I was told this is generally replaced once over the vehicles life which would be nice, thanks!

 

It would be unlikely you will need to replace it.
If it was going to be a recurring problem, it probably would have happened by now.
