Engine Code Resolutions 1999 C230 Kompressor
Just going to start a thread about engine codes and the relative major correct solution to these problems on our cars. I know there many posts but i rather post something as we go. So I'll start so it can be easy to diagnose cars of the W202 Chassis and see what fixed the error code(s).
1999 C230 Kompressor:
P0410:Socondary Air Ihjection
P0170: Fuel trim bank 1.
Solution: MOT Purge Valve possibly clogged. Depending on ago of vehicle it can may be resolved as simply by pulling out the 2 Hoses that are connected to them and Disconnect the plug going to it, remove the part from the bracket and Throw (Spray, dip) in carb cleaner solution / MAF cleaner. To each his own way of fixing things. On mine last night I had sprayed a lot of cleaner to even see it that could be the problem. I Threw cleaner in the hose lines and in the valve hose nipple connector. I ran the car after a 10 minute pass and tried to let it run. So far I put it back together and cleared codes and it has of yet not come back. So basically easy fix for Code p0170 is the MOT Purge valve can be clogged or damaged from from fix, and thus can be replaced.
