Hi im new to this forum. ..would like to see if anyone could help me with a little headache that's developed with my car..I own a w202 230k with 85k on the clock it's been well looked after before me and I also have given it the once over myself.The car starts fine ,tick over is fine, no engine light check.drive perfect..but when I floor it from stanstill it sorts of chocks at 4000 rev then goes again.also if I increase the speed slowly at about 100plus she looses power down to about 80 but then even if I put my foot to the floor again she does not pick up speed .I would have to down shift manually before she kicks in again..would also like to point out it only does in now and again.some say it the maf but the engine light check does not come on.thought it might be a relay problem...please could some one give me advice of how to handle this...thanks
