1994 C280 No power to Radio or Antenna - Help!

I have a 1994 C280, everything works fine except the radio has no power. At some point, the radio has been replaced. Currently its radio tuner with an in dash cd player.

Before I go out to have the radio replaced, I want to check first to see if it is something simple.

I am not sure if there is a particular fuse I need to check, if so which one and where is it located?

Could something other than the radio itself be a culprit that I need to check first as well?

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you pulled the radio out of the slot yet? If it's after market, you probably don't need the removal keys. See the video if you do need them.
The aftermarket radios have an inline fuse in the hot connection, so check that first, and then the ground to be sure it's connected properly.
Depending on the aftermarket unit, the colors are red for hot power in and green for ground.
If you not sure, do an internet search by radio brand and model, and usually you will find the manual with full instructions.
Good luck

ptcruiser, thanks for your response. OK, the radio in the car now is aftermarket - Alpine. The video you provided is great though! I guess I will pull the radio and check the inline fuse. I will let you know how it goes.

Also, if the antenna is power, and not functioning, it sounds more like a ground connection. Most after market units have a power antenna connection, and if both radio and antenna won't work, that may be your first clue.
Be sure to download the manual if you don't have one.
