c230k Replacing supercharger clutch with solid pulley
Hi, i have a 202 c230k drift car, I have run this on track and as my daily for the last year with no problems, yesterday whilst on track my Supercharger stopped working, and it looks like the clutch on it has gone. I don't know much about superchargers so my question may seem stupid to some, apology's. To stop this happening again, as my car is driven very hard, is there any way i can replace the clutch system with a solid pulley? I appreciate there are lots of pulley based threads already and I have trawled through them long and hard to see if there is already a definitive answer but cannot find one. Any help or advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks

The clutch/pulley can be changed out with a solid pulley, but I doubt you will like the results.

The intake modulates between vacuum and pressure (that is why there is butterfly "valve" assembly on the air filter housing). The electronics will not really compensate for being under boost all the time and will trigger a CE light since it is expecting vacuum at zero throttle and vehicle stopped. I am not sure how the air filter butterfly valve will respond.. i.e. will it still try to open for when it expects vacuum conditions or not.

It is just as easy and not that more expensive to replace the clutch. Overall the MB supercharger clutch is robust and can take a lot of abuse. I still had the original on my 2000 C230 kompressor when it was traded at 280,000 miles.

The Shardul stuff is not a solid pulley. They have a smaller diameter pulley to bolt to your existing clutch or a complete clutch/pulley replacement combo...
I have not seen a solid pulley setup for the street...
At the drags, yes... But if Drift202 wants to use the car as dual purpose it can't be set up only for the track.
