96 c200 misfire issue???
Hi everyone,
So a few months ago I purchased my first car, a 1996 c200 and it has been nothing short of brilliant up until a few weeks ago. After purchasing the car I realized that the vehicle was suffering from a well know and much documented problem, regarding the wireing harness deterioration. My father and I replaced it and have had great success with the car up until now.
The issue currently surroundino the car is what I can only describe a and engine misfire.
Once the car is at about 1700-2200rpm in 2nd gear, a thudding noise seems to be coming from the engine bay. This is followed by a significant loss of power throughout the higher revs whilst the car feels as if it pulls every now and then in these high revs.
From what I can tel the issue is not helped when the aircon is on and it will often studder when the car is in drive and stationary
please help with the identification of this troublesome issue!!!
