My current 1998 C230 is at 157,000 km's which is about 98,000 miles. Car is perfect and drives like new. Still under warranty for another 3K.
Engine: Never used a drop of Mobil 1 since new. Compression at 62K was 11.5bar on all four exactly, compression at 149K was 11.5bar on all four exactly.
Tranny: Perfect until 149K. Needed a pressure control spring to fix slight hesitation. Dealer got okay from MB Canada to replace entire tranny, torque converter and ETC. Updated tranny shifts very nice.
Final drive: One axle seal was sweating VERY slightly at 80K, all three replaced under warranty. Not even a sweat since.
Other repairs:
Blower motor at 100K.
Maintenance:
Mobil 1 every 5000kms (3K-miles) intervals on FSS.
Cabin dust filter, engine air filter every A or B service.
Final drive oil every 80K (50K-miles)
Tranny fluid (722.6 synthetic) every 100K (60K-miles)
Wear items:
Front rotors and pads at 60K.
Rear pads at 60K.
Front rotors and pads at 128K.
Several sets of summer and winter tires.
Poly-V belt replaced at 140K, not worn much, but replaced prior to Alaska trip.
Spark plugs at 60K
Spark plugs at 128K
She should be in top form to make her 250K badge, and then we'll be shooting for the 500K.
