Chrome on door handles bubbling!?!

Chrome on door handles bubbling!?!

Is it possible for the chrome on the door handles to bubble???

I just got it washed and noticed it has little bumps, like bubbles, on it....i was like WTF!?!

If it is chrome, it can bubble just like paint. The chrome can get scratched or have a pinhole from poor prep/plating. Salt and water get in and rust starts from underneath.

Sorry but there is no cure.

yep once they got them, they dont go away.

ever see chrome rims in your area that have been driven around with the car for more than a couple weeks? yeh, they got your bubbling and chipping times ten

Even older cars with chrome bumpers show signs of paint bubbling. You could get the handles painted black, so it won't happen in the future. Good Luck.

dammit. Oh well, I guess it goes with the age of the car. Coming up on 10 years old. Atleast the interior is perfect and running awsome Asthetics for a 10 year old car are pretty good as is, with normal wearing showing
