2000 C230 Help! Just purchased this car. Brakes and about Service Light

2000 c230 Sport Special Edition
Post 2000 C230 Help! Just purchased this car. Brakes and about Service Light
My rear brakes were noise free yesterday, but that same night it rained. So next day I drove to the store and noticed that the brakes were squealing when I applied the brakes. Do you guys know how to fix this?? I tried braking hard but it didn't work. I hoping that the brake fluid would lubricate the pads.

Also I have a question regarding the Service Light (two wrenches) when I first started to drive it it showed me a 300 and it keeps staying that number. I have drived about 40 miles since the first time. Does the number decrease every 100 miles??2000 C230 Help! Just purchased this car. Brakes and about Service Light-img_0552.jpg
