2000 C230 Kompressor
Hi from Baltimore: 00 C230 Kompressor
I have a 2000 c230 that needs a headliner. I'm Trying to get it done for a decent price but I've been getting a lot of different prices to replace it. Any idea what the job should cost?

You can DIY.....But it is time consuming.
Search the w202 site posts for replacing the headliner, and the article shows you step by step with comments.
Very well done.
What kind of quotes are you getting?

If your not up to the chore, $550.00 is reasonable for the time and material involved. It is a 2 man job to do.
The main thing is to remove ALL the glue and rubber padding from the shell, once it is removed. If not, it will be lumpy, and looks like crap.
I believe there is a foam backed fabric available once your ready to reinstall.
I, personally, would want to be at the shop to make sure it's as close to 100% as possible.
Good luck

I'm in DC, I had my C230 headliner done at Key Auto Upholstry just off route 1 just south of the beltway (In the Hybla Valley part of Alexandria in Virginia). It ran me $450 because I was a repeat customer.
