Hi guys,

I've been doing about a couple months worth of searching. So far it seems for my set up, I think a H&R Sports springs are te best bet for drop go to go LOW (no wheel gap) but not TOO low, like say H&R Cups.

What shocks do you reccomend? And am I right on th H&R Sports and no wheel gap?

Do th rubber pads that I see people speak about make that much of a difference on the drop? I have a C280 and have no idea what pads come on it stock.

I've done a ton of searching and I am shocked at how little I've found on clear pics of drops and setups to go with it.

Ca anyone help post their set up or old set up? Seems like this forum and others aren't as popular as they were say 5-10 years ago. Gutted because I love my new C280 but am having trouble finding more info/regular input from folks!

I have some 18inch AMG wheels I am going to throw on soon (monoblocks). I am trying to figure out the best drop to match these killer wheels.

Pic of my baby:

I'll have to dig up some photos of mine. Had H&R springs, Bilstein sports and size 1 pads, really improved the looks/handling/drop although I only had 17's since I have some tough roads to contend with. Not sure if you are going to get to no wheel gap with them though

The size of the pads can be used to level you out a bit if needed and you wouldn't know the size you are using unless you felt the bumps on the pad. There isn't a stock pad size so to speak.

Did you try searching on club202 for lowered setups? http://www.club202.com/forums/

Thanks!

I think I may go no pad in the front and #1 in the rear. Someone else had that set up and there was no wheel gap in the front and rarely anything in the back.

I'm not a big fan of "no pad" metal to metal spring setups. The pad provides for a snug fit and reduces the potential for corrosion at the cups.

Thanks for the advice! I may just use a #1 all around then.
