Hi there. I am new to this side of the forum as I have previously owned a C32 and E55 AMG. Now that I am thoroughly bankrupt and have parted with both cars I was looking at buying this beauty of a 1996 C220 AMG. Granted this is nothing close to a proper AMG and merely just a bodykit, this is still a stunning car and going for next to nothing. I was wondering if anyone has used a supercharger from the W202 C230 Kompressor and bolted it onto a W202 C220?
I can source these S/C's for next to nothing ($150.00 used) and was wondering if it would bolt on with a few modifications? Both my AMG's had medium mods (headers, crank pulleys, tune, etc) so I am no stranger to spending weekends in my garage cursing the underside of a car. As far as I know the C220 can safely handle 300HP on the engine and gearbox, so adding another mere 30- 40HP with a S/C will be well within the safety margins.
The other route is a single turbo, but that is a fairly expensive mod for later.
