Usually I wait out for the noise to turn on before I drive off. One day I decided not to because I was running late. Well at a stop light, the noise came on but it was like trying to turn on but wouldnt stay on. It did that a couple times, and the car felt like it was going to shut off. Eventually it stopped before the green light and I was able to drive off normally. But the check engine light came on and stayed on since. Oh btw this is would be the second time it did this. The first time, the check engine light didnt come on. So since then I always made a habit of letting it turn off normally after a cold start before I drive off. But the second time, like I said, I didnt wait for it to turn off and I just drove off and the check engine light came on.
So is something wrong with the pump or in general do I have to wait for it to turn off before I drive off.
