Tie Rod assembly replacement where to buy

Hi guys

Looking online for Tie Rod assembly for ma 1996 C280. I found on forum few webpages you guys recommend but the price is around $250. google found plenty of stores whew price is around $100 for the rod. My question are they cheep because they not worth anything or maybe it is such a difference between different online stores???

How about 1A Auto they sell that tie rod for $90!!!???

You get what you pay for. If you shop around, you can generally get Lemfoerder for a decent price. I figure it's worth spending $50 more on something of quality rather than potentially on some junk from China. I've read where you might get a year or 2 out of URO parts or some of the other off brands. If you're keeping the car for longer than that, why not go for quality parts.

the problem is that all the companies say highest quality that is why i don't know if by buying one for 150 it is not the same junk that is for 90 at 1A. the two stores that every one keeps posting is oediscountparts and parts.com both offer rod in about the same price oe little cheaper, advanceautoparts also around that price, but plenty of stores online have price $100 car may or may not stay but alignment and new tires will be expensive enough to page little extra for the part if of course it is worth it.

I always look for the name brand of a part. I generally will always buy Lemfoerder as they are an OEM Replacement. Looks like for your car they would run about $170, were you can pick up a URO Brand for $90. Significant difference, but for me, it would be worth it. Meyle is another solid brand, but from what I have read can be hit or miss.

The only real way to know that you are getting a quality product is to pay the price for the name brand (in most cases). In reality, a drag link is not that hard to replace. Could go cheap, keep an eye on it and you might get lucky and get a couple years out of it, then repeat the cycle.

Sites that I usually shop are FCPEuro, Autohaus AZ and ECS Tuning. Once I get the part number of what I'm looking for also check out eBay. Best price usually wins.
