I know a guy who owns a C280 he got stuck in park in a taco bell drive through . I get out to help because I just recently replaced my shifter in my w203 c240 so I though I should be able to help... first I checked for the unlock solenoid but couldn't find it . So I took up the center console and pulled up the shifter. Once up it moves perfectly from P-1 but the trans rod is stuck. I tried pushing it but It would not move. Could the rod be jammed ?

I'm going over to his house this saturday to jack up the car and look under it to see if I can see why its not moving. On my car I remember the key not being in the ignition but I can use the rod to move it out of park.
