The hard way to change a 3rd brake light bulb
I was in a hurry to put in a new third brake light bulb, and the thought of driving to the dealer to get one was not appealing.
So I took the burnt out bulb, and one new 12V halogen mini bulb, and in about 15 minutes, the bulb was back in the car.
The picture attached says it all. Wear eye protection if you do this as the old bulb really "pops" when you break it !
