Reverse camera installation

I'm trying to install a rearview mirror camera and need help finding a power source up front since it seems impossible running a wire from the fuse box in the engine compartment. Can anyone help and let me know if there is any power source I can tap into inside the car?

Thanks in advance.

I used a tap in from the Acc. side of the ignition switch. Do you have an aftermarket, or original radio? You can do a search for radio wiring diagram on the internet using the year model and type. It will give you all the wire color codes to find the Acc wire. Tap into it using a wireless clip, like the photo below. Available at any parts store.
Easy way to do it, but you need to pull the radio with Mercedes tool. I always keep the tool on the car. A couple of bucks on Ebay

I have a stock radio.

I was able to run the power wire all the way to the trunk, felt it was much easier.

So currently the setup is as follows:

I have two questions:
1. Which slot can I use for power in the fuse box (trunk).
2. I have used a quick splicer (the one you pictured) to tap the power
into the taillight, i'm not sure if it's the right cable i'm tapping, basically
if you look at the pin connector it is the one with the X as so

Rather that using the fuse box, tap into the back up light wire. Do you know how to access the tail light panel that holds the bulbs? If not, it's a 2 second job, and here is where to find it. It's a newer model shown, but exactly the same procedure

Tap the power for both the camera and the monitor to the same reverse light?

That is a question I can't answer? How far along is the installation? Is the monitor mounted in the car yet?
Logic would tell me that the monitor has a power source not related to camera. It would seem to me that the monitor is activated by the back up lights being engaged. When not engaged, the circuit is not completed, so it doesn't go on until reverse is in place.

Monitor is a rear view mirror so it's mounted (clipped on top of stock mirror).
I had understood it needs direct power and its the video signal that turns it on. Meanwhile the camera has to be tapped to the reverse o turn on when I hit reverse.

That seems to be the logic.
Direct power, but the reverse gear engagement completes the circuit, which then activates the monitor to receive the camera images.
The reason I asked about the installation, is it could all be set up in the trunk, and when you know it is functioning correctly, then mount it in the car.

I already ran all the wires so not a big deal.
Do you know which wire from the taillight assembly corresponds to the reverse light?

When you remove the rear tail light unit, as shown on the YouTube video, Seems the wire color should be as Grey Yellow
