2000 Stereo Help (Sirius/XM)

I'd like to install a Sirius or XM in my 2000 C230. How would I get around the fiber optic issue?

I'd like to avoid going through the tape player. Is it possible to perhaps add a secondary or replacement head unit that will work with the fiber optics?

Thanks a ton.

The correct way would be to replace the head, get and use an antenna adaptor, and run the lines back to wherever you install the tuner/antennas. You need also to get an interface kit between the new heads outputs and the Bose (if you have a Bose).

The fiber on the W202 is only for the cell phone in the console and the cd changer in the trunk. The feeds to the Bose are copper. If you leave the Bose use a Soungate XR4 to isolate and create a proper interface between the new head and the amp.
